ANN JANNEY-SCHULTZ, MS

President

Ann Janney-Schultz leads WOW with extensive non-profit management experience. She is also the parent of an adult daughter with significant disabilities who has been receiving sponsored residential services through Wall Residences for many years.  She is passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities.  She is currently a full-time artist.

ALEX JACKSON, M. ED.

Vice President

Alex is the Director of Admissions for Wall Residences.  He has worked for Wall Residences in a variety of admissions capacities since 2008 and has served as the Admissions Director since 2016.   Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology as well as a Master of Education degree in Community Counseling.  In addition to his work with Wall Residences, Alex served as a Case Manager for two and a half years and as a Case Management supervisor for two and a half years.  Alex has experience supporting individuals dually diagnosed with developmental disabilities and mental health issues.

REBECCA LEDINGHAM, MSW

Secretary/Treasurer

Rebecca has twenty-six years of direct care, support coordination and service management for people with intellectual disabilities and other challenges.  Rebecca currently works as the Quality Assurance Coordinator for Special Projects at Wall Residences.

RICK SHERIDAN, BA

Board Member

Rick has worked at a number of not-for-profits during his career, including Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and the American Museum of Natural History (retiring after 22 years in 2003).   He was also the sole caregiver and advocate for his wife for 22 years after she suffered a brainstem injury until her passing in 2016. He now works as a fine art photographer.

Brendan Oakes, BS

Board Member


Brendan joins WOW from the Charlottesville region.  He earned his bachelor's degree from Marshall University.  Brendan has presented autism education to University of Virginia students on several occasions.

Jonathan Miles

Board Member

Jonathan enjoys reading and listening to music.  He enjoys going to the gym and playing basketball. Jonathan is a compassionate individual.  He is always willing to lend a hand.  Jonathan is a people person who enjoys socializing - he makes friends quickly!   Jonathan also compliments others and always looks for the best in others, keeping a positive mindset.

WOW is actively seeking Board Members - particularly those who have developmental disabilities and/or mental health conditions, relatives and advocates, and people with non-profit experience.  We usually meet quarterly in a remote format, and annually in person.  If you are interested, please complete and submit the questionnaire below.
